What is the reservation cancellation policy?
-Cancellations and changes must be made by the person named on the reservation.
-Cancellations must be received at least 7 days prior to the arrival date to request a refund. You will be charged a cancellation fee and forfeit the reservation fee for each refunded site. Please check the current fee schedule for the cancellation and reservation fee amounts.
-A refund in the form of a voucher (which can be used at the park on a future visit) can be requested and you would only lose the reservation fee for each site.
-Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to arrival are only eligible for a voucher with the loss of the reservation fee.
-To receive a voucher for any unused portion of a reduced stay, you must give personnel at least 24-hour notice otherwise the cost paid will be forfeited. Cancellations and changes must be made by the person named on the reservation.  Are Pets allowed at the lake?
Don Pedro Recreation Agency Board of Control approved the allowance of dogs within the recreation areas at the December 10, 2021 regularly scheduled meeting. Dogs are NOT allowed in the Lagoon area and other rules apply. Please refer to Section 2.3 of Don Pedro Recreation Agency Regulations and Ordinances. No person shall fail to follow DPRA posted regulations, rules and ordinances, as well as, Tuolumne County Ordinance Can I Plug My 50-Amp RV Cord into a 30-Amp Power Pedestal?
Yes! With an adapter, you can plug a 50-amp RV cord into a 30-amp power pedestal at a campground. The female end of the adapter will plug into your RV cord, and the male end will plug into the power pedestal. However, note that without a 50-amp receptacle, you won't be operating at full power, so there will likely be some limitations on how many appliances you can run at once. For instance, if you have a large RV with two air conditioners, you will probably be limited to running one at a time, and other power-hungry appliances (such as microwaves) must be run with caution. Still, 50-amp receptacles aren't available at every campsite, so in these cases, it's best to have a 30-amp adapter with you. Adapters come in two main styles.
Power pedestals are 120 Volts with a 30 Amp breaker and a plug and a 120 Volt with a 20 Amp breaker and a plug. Are there discounts available?

-One previous Day Use Receipt can be applied toward a matching annual pass purchase
-A senior discount is available for visitors over age 62 toward the purchase of an Annual Vehicle Pass
-Discounted annual passes are available to vehicle owners who have already purchased one annual pass at full price.
-See Fee Schedule for more information about recreation area fees. How do annual permits work for a second vehicle?
In order to purchase an annual permit for a second vehicle at the discounted rate, the name and address on the vehicle registration must match the registration of the first vehicle. If the names and addresses do not match, the annual pass can be purchased at the non-discounted rate. The schedule of fees can be found here: Schedule of Fees How do I get an annual Pass?
Annual passes are available for purchase at our entrance kiosks and Headquarters Building during posted hours.  Do I have to make a reservation to camp?
Typically, reservations are not required for camping, however due to COVID restrictions walk-in camping is not currently allowed. Reservations are required due to COVID and must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance. 
Once walk-ins are allowed again, we highly recommend making reservations for holiday weekends or if you need a specific site to accommodate your needs\equipment. Available campsites can be purchased on a first come-first serve basis at kiosks or self-registration when you enter the park. Please check with staff or on the posted campsite availability before moving into a campsite.  Can I prepay my launch fees and additional vehicle fees before I arrive?
No. Even the best plans tend to change, so we don't charge for additional vehicles or boats until they enter the park. 
If you are visiting more than 10 calander days a year with a boat or additional vehicle we recommend purchasing annual pass stickers.  I really want to see the park before I bring a group out. Can I take a look?
Absolutely! We offer a free 1 hour visitor pass if you want to check out the park. We have a variety of campsites, day use areas, and services available.

Yes and No: You can use them in the campgrounds, but they don’t cover campsite fees.
-There is an annual boat pass available that covers lakeshore camping for the calendar year.
- We do allow the use of annual passes to cover vehicle and boat fees in the campground, but annual passes do not cover campsite fees or reservations.
-If you are typically camping and boating when you visit, you may not need a vehicle annual, but a boat annual will pay for itself after nine days of launching. Since they are sold separately, you can purchase one and\or the other.
 -If you purchase a campsite and you have an annual pass, we encourage you to share the vehicle tag included with campsite payment with other members of your party. This could save them $30\weekend in vehicle fees.  Do you accept the Federal Senior\Access passes or the State Poppy pass?
No, we are not a Federal or State park, so we cannot honor passes from either of those pass programs.  How do I get to the lake?
There are four physical entrances for our park. Most cell phones do not have good service in this area, so we recommend you download offline directions if you plan to navigate to the lake using your phone or GPS.

Our Lake level varies day to day and changes due to a variety of factors, including weather, seasons, upstream activity, etc. For the most up to date information, please check current reservoir conditions at https://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/products/rescond.pdf  I have a trailer or RV. Can I dry camp in a tent site?
Yes. Dry camping is permitted at tent sites, provided that all vehicles and equipment fit on the pavement or the designated parking area for the individual site.  Any generators utilized also must be turned off during quiet hours from 10pm-7am. Each campground has a dump station that is free for registered campers to use.  Do I have to have a trailer or RV to camp in a hook up campsite?
No. As long as the campsite is paid for at its' posted rate, there are no specific equipment requirements. Bear in mind though; since most visitors in the hook-up campsites have trailers, there are no food lockers in the Hook Up campsites.  I have a large group. Can you accommodate us?
Yes! We have multiple options availble for large groups. 
The Group Picnic Area at Fleming Meadows has two large grills, a covered pavilion with a sink and counter, lots of picnic tables, and a restroom. 
The Group Camping Area at Blue Oaks has dedicated shower and restroom facilities, as well as mutiple RV hook up pedastools.  It has a large grill, fire ring, covered paviliion, lots of picnic tables, and plenty of space for your group to spread out.   How Can I Get Help?

Cellular service in the campground is spotty, so there are Pay phones located at the Lagoon and Lake Don Pedro Marina. There is also an emergency call box at the Moccasin Point Launch Ramp. You can also come to park kiosks, headquarters, or speak with a member of our park staff.

On Facebook: Don Pedro Lake Camping Boating and Fishing Is Bonds Flat Road open to through traffic?
Yes, Bonds Flat Road is repaired and has reopened. It was closed to through traffic from February-July 2017 due to spillway operations.  Do you have any hiking trails?
There are two developed trails.
-The out-and-back Blue Oaks Hiking Trail is 5.9 miles, with about a 12 mile round trip.  It begins near the Blue Oaks Group Camping area and parallels the lake shoreline to the vicinity of Buzzard Cove. Don Pedro Lake Shoreline Trail Map
-The Moccasin Point Hiking Trail is relatively short, with about a 1 mile round trip. It offers a shady hike with views of the Moccasin Bay of Don Pedro Lake. Lakeview Trail Map Is there WiFi available?
Yes,  basic hotspot wireless internet access is available free of charge at the following areas:

Blue Oaks: Kiosk and Group Camping Area
Fleming Meadows: Kiosk, Trading Post, and Lagoon Can we have a campfire or cook on a grill?
Yes, as long as it is in an enclosed fire pit or grill in the developed campgrounds.  Fire pits /grills with safe vegetation clearance are provided in each campsite, in Day Use areas, and at the group picnic and campsites.  Ground fires and the possession of firewood are prohibited on the undeveloped parts of the lake's shoreline.  I Lost\Found something. What do I do?
Please bring found items to park kiosks or headquarters. We will log them and hold them for safekeeping until they are picked up. If you lost something, please call (209) 852-2396 x3 to see if it has been turned in.  I took care of my boat rental fees online, do I still need to pay Day Use fees?
Yes. The houseboat rentals are a separate concessionaire. All visitors entering the park are charged the same day use fees.  Do I need a pass on my small boat, kayak, jetski, etc.?
-Anything required by law to have a CF number is charged launch fees. Kayaks, Canoes, Stand Up Paddleboards, etc. are not charged launch fees unless they have motors.  What happened to the Visitor Center by the Dam?
Unfortunately, the historic Don Pedro Lake Visitor Center was destroyed by a fire on May 25, 2015. A temporary Visitor Center is currently available at the same location, and reconstruction efforts are underway.  How many people are Included per campsite?
Campsite capacity is 8 people per campsite. This includes children. Children are people too.  How many vehicles are allowed per campsite?
One vehicle is included with the campsite fees for each campsite. More vehicles can be parked at campsites, as long as everything is parked on the pavement. Additional vehicles are charged the current verhicle day use fee per day teh vehicle is in the park. I forgot something. Is there a store nearby?
Yes. There are small convenience stores located in and near Fleming Meadows and Blue Oaks Campgrounds. They sell food, drinks, and other basic items. From Moccasin Point Campground, the town of Jamestown (about 15 minutes away) has multiple convenience stores. The closest larger towns are Oakdale and Sonora.    What do Partial Hook-Up Sites consist of?
Partial hook-up sites (Located in the A-Area at Blue Oaks Campground) have dedicated water and power, but they do not have sewer hook-ups. Dump Station use is free for campers. What do Full Hook-Up Sites consist of?
Our Full Hook-Up campsites each have dedicated water, sewer and power connections. The Power pedestals have a 30 amp RV and 2 standard 20 amp 120 V outlets.  Full Hook-Up campsites are located at the Fleming Meadows H area, as well as the Moccasin Point A area and part of B Area.  How do Annual passes at Don Pedro Lake Work?
Our annual passes are stickers applied directly to vehicles and watercraft. They cover entrance and use fees at Don Pedro Lake for the occupants of the vehicles and watercraft they are applied to.  Vehicle and boat passes are sold separately. Any watercraft stored or moored on Don Pedro Lake for more than 14 days are required to have annual permits.  What benefits are associated with annual passes?
Cost Savings: In most cases, you get your money’s worth after using the pass for just 10 calendar days in a year.
Pass holder entrance lanes at each kiosk: No need to check in for day use.
